Signs you need this part
- Squealing that gets louder as the door speeds up
- Bracket pulling away from the wall or frame
- Visible cracks or elongated bolt holes
- Door shifting sideways in the opening
Fitting notes
- Match the gauge to the door — industrial mounting brackets are for commercial barrel weights, not standard domestic doors.
- Longer pressings are pick-up only and do not post.
Safety
Never unbolt a bottom bracket while the door is closed and under spring tension — the lifting cable anchors to it and it carries the full spring load.
