Lock and key sets for B&D, Firmadoor, Centurion, Gliderol and Metroll roller doors, tilt door lock sets, roller door locking bars, industrial floor locks, slide bolts and handles.
Roller door locks are brand-specific. The barrel, the cam and the mounting cut-out all differ between B&D, Gliderol, Centurion and Metroll, so a lock has to match the door it is going into. If you are unsure which you have, the key profile and the shape of the escutcheon usually identify it.
Locking bars run across the inside of a roller door and engage the guide tracks at each side. They are the part that actually resists a door being levered up, and they are worth checking on any door that has been forced.
Industrial floor locks bolt into the slab and are used where a roller door needs to be secured from inside without a barrel lock — common on workshops and storage units.
One practical note: if your door has an opener fitted, the manual lock must be disengaged or removed. Running the motor against an engaged lock bends the bottom rail and can strip the opener's drive gear.
No — the barrel, cam and cut-out are brand-specific. B&D, Gliderol, Centurion and Metroll each use their own. Match the lock to the door brand, or send us a photo of the existing lock and key.
No. With an opener fitted the manual lock must be disengaged, or the motor will drive the door against a locked bar and damage both. Most automated doors are secured by the opener itself.
Usually the simplest fix is a new lock and key set for that brand rather than trying to cut a replacement key. We can supply and fit one across Perth.
