Replacement handsets, wall buttons and keypads for the opener brands fitted across Perth homes — Merlin, ATA, B&D, Steel-Line, Superlift, Gliderol, Grifco, Guardian and Centurion. The right remote depends on your opener's age and radio frequency, not just its badge, which is why every listing here states the frequency and the year range it covers.
Most remote problems are not the remote. A handset that works up close but not from the driveway is usually a flat 12V battery or a weak aerial on the motor; one that has stopped entirely after a power cut has often just lost its code and needs re-pairing. Both are worth trying before buying anything.
Frequency is the trap. Several brands changed radio frequency mid-life without changing the case — Guardian ran 303MHz until 2014 and 433MHz after it, and the two look near enough identical. Matching the wrong one gives you a remote that will never code in. Check the frequency printed on the back of your existing handset, or send us a photo and we will tell you which one you have.
Cross-brand compatibility is real and useful: a Superlift handset codes to Centurion openers, and Guardian remotes cover Boss, Steel-Line and Centurion units of the same era. Where that applies it is stated on the product.
We supply, program and fit remotes anywhere in Perth. If you would rather not work out which one you need, we can bring the right handset with us and code it on site.
Check three things on your existing handset: the brand, the frequency printed on the back or inside the battery cover (usually 303MHz or 433MHz), and the model code. If the handset is lost, the opener's model number on the motor housing will identify it instead. Send us a photo of either and we will confirm the match.
Often not. Try a fresh battery first, then re-pair the handset to the motor. If other remotes on the same door still work, the fault is in that handset; if none of them work, the problem is more likely the receiver or aerial in the opener itself.
Yes. We program remotes as part of any service call across Perth, and we can supply the handset at the same time so the door is working before we leave.
For most openers, yes — compatible handsets use the same rolling-code system and pair the same way. Some later MyQ and SecuraCode units are fussier, and those are noted on the individual products.
Tell us your door or opener model and we'll confirm the right part before we come out — anywhere in Perth, no call-out fee.
