Garage Door Prices in Perth

Every price we quote from, in one place: repairs, springs, cables, motors, remotes, servicing and new doors. GST included, fixed quote before any work starts, and no call-out fee.

In Perth, one garage door spring costs $260–$340 fitted, a replacement motor $750–$1,150, a full service from $160 plus parts, and a new standard garage door $2,200–$5,500installed. Those are our own ranges, GST included. Your door's size, type and the parts it needs decide where in the range the job lands, and we confirm the exact figure as a fixed quote before any work starts. There is no call-out fee.

What moves a garage door price up or down

Door type and size

A double sectional door carries heavier springs, longer cables and a stronger motor than a single roller door, so the same fault costs more to fix on it.

The part itself

Genuine Merlin, B&D, Steel-Line and Centurion parts cost more than generic ones, and a discontinued panel colour or profile can force a bigger replacement than the damage suggests.

How many parts

Springs on a double door are replaced as a matched pair ($460–$600) so the door lifts evenly; rollers and remotes are priced per item plus one labour charge.

Access and condition

A door that has dropped, jammed or bent its tracks takes longer to make safe before the repair starts. Tight rear-access garages and high openings add time too.

Time of day

The ranges here are daytime prices. An after-hours or emergency job may cost more, and we confirm the exact figure before anyone drives out.

Residential or commercial

Commercial roller doors and sectional doors are bigger, heavier and often need high-cycle parts, which is why new commercial doors start from $5,500.

Repair or replace?

A single failed part on a structurally sound door is worth repairing: a spring, a cable, a set of rollers or a motor costs a fraction of a new door and gives the door years more service. We recommend a new door when the panels are rusted through or damaged across several sections, when parts for an old make are no longer available, or when the door has needed three or four repairs in a couple of years and the next one would cost more than the door is worth.

Where it is a close call we say so and quote both ways — garage door repairs against a new garage door — and the decision is yours. Our guide to repairing or replacing a garage door walks through the signs.

How we quote

  1. 1

Tell us what the door is doing

A call or a photo is enough. We ask the door type, the brand of motor if there is one, and what you can see or hear.

  2. 2

You get a range on the phone

The ranges on this page, narrowed to your door. If the job is after hours, we tell you the exact figure then and there.

  3. 3

The technician inspects and fixes the price

On site the range becomes one fixed figure, GST included, with the parts named. Quoting is free and there is no call-out fee.

  4. 4

Work starts only once you agree

Most repairs finish the same visit because the vans carry springs, cables, rollers and the usual opener parts, and remotes are coded on the spot ($85 each + $110 to attend & program).
