Fitting notes
- Springs are replaced in pairs — a new spring paired with an old one wears out early and pulls the door out of level.
- Measure tilt door springs hook tip to hook tip, including the hooks.
Safety
Garage door springs hold enough stored energy to cause serious injury. Torsion springs in particular should only be wound or released with the correct bars and technique — we do not recommend replacing them yourself.
